Our Guarantee to You

The XANADU warranty covers any life-altering genetic issue. Hips are confidently warranted for 6 years, unless the dog becomes overweight or is involved in an accident. Should a serious genetic issue be discovered within the first two years, you will receive a refund or XANADU will replace your puppy after the congenital problem is verified. “Serious” means a genetic condition that affects the dog’s quality of life—that is, the type of problem that responsible breeders try to avoid by having sires and dams checked for genetic problems. During your dog's lifetime, s/he can always be returned to XANADU if circumstances arise that would prevent you from keeping your dog. Your best friend will be re-homed to a person or family who will love and care for him/her. Refunds are only offered for puppies/dogs with a problem that is covered by XANADU'S health warranty.
Male and female dogs (or their parents) used in the XANADU breeding program have passed / will be tested for genetic screening for congenital problems, or breed-specific screenings, as needed. Some genetic testing is considered "passed by parentage"; that is, if the parents do not carry a problem (like the eye problem, PRA) then the pups will not have that problem. Every puppy will be in good health when you receive him/her. When you first receive your XANADU puppy, you will have 72 hours in which to have him/her examined by a vet in order for your warranty to remain in affect. I want you to be reassured by your own veterinarian that your puppy is healthy.
Any health problems that develop and are determined to be hereditary by two veterinarians (one of whom is XANADU’s choice) are covered under the health warranty. Claims for dysplasia must be verified by PennHip. You can learn more about PennHip under Helpful Links & Information. All vet expenses are the owner’s responsibility. If a puppy develops a problem and the owner and XANADU agree on a “replacement” pup / dog, it is not required that the original pup be returned to XANADU. That decision is the pup / dog owner’s decision, because we know that you love your dogs.
