Find EXACTLY the Pup for You!

Many people ask about pricing, about deposits, how to get the pup in a litter that THEY want, according to THEIR preferences. Below is a guide that we shall put on our website soon; this may help with the how-to of purchasing exactly THE pup you want. Below this first document is a more detailed and specific document regarding pricing. If you are interested in either a Pomsky or Goberian puppy, please ask for documents that describe these newer or rare extremely rare breeds.

There are several good ways to get the pup you want from a litter, but first do remember that people usually select a puppy because of what I call "vanity" considerations--coat color, pattern, and doodle-ness, and eye color (if the parents carry blue eyes). Vanity considerations are just fine, and why not have a pup that you think is absolutely gorgeous? Having said that, ALL XANADU pups are wonderful; all equally healthy, friendly, playful. While temperaments and activity levels vary somewhat, that is not often as great a consideration in a litter that looks very much alike--because people know that all the pups are just great. So, people often choose a puppy according to cuteness--or the photographic prowess of my Guardians of females. And that's OK, too. If someone ever selects a litter or a pup that might not mesh well with the lifestyle of the new owner, I let them know.
The first way to get a great pup--and my favorite pup--is to consider guardianship. A Guardian puppy is my "best" pup in terms of characteristics for which I breed. These "best" puppies are the least expensive, because the Guardian human and I form a partnership. The Guardian human gets my best pup for the least amount of money. The wonderful puppy gets a fantastic home with the best care, love, and training. And I get to see this "best" puppy's dominant characteristics in a very limited number future litters. For males, this is usually five litters (although I do not always use all contracted breedings), and for females, this means either two or three litters (and rarely just one litter).

The next way to get the pup you like is to put a deposit down on a Litter Pick puppy. I try to have male and female litter picks in each (larger) litter, but sometimes, there is only a male or a female, depending on the gender dominance in a litter. Litter Pick puppies are generally more expensive than other equally wonderful pups in the same litter who do not have blue eyes or a preferred color or coat type or pattern.

And finally, Pet Home puppies are chosen in the order deposits were received. So, in answer to the question so many people have, "Yes." IF you have made a confident decision about a new forever-home puppy family member and have decided that XANADU is your favored kennel, AND IF we at XANADU expect to have the litter(s) you are interested in, do make a deposit. When I bring a new pup into the XANADU breeding program, that's what I do.

Deposits are $400, and we are finding that PayPal is best. PayPal does charge a 3% transaction fee, making a total of $412. You can go to the PayPal website and, using our email addresses, send your deposit or $412 to XANADU. PayPal lets me know that you have made a deposit, and I acknowledge the receipt of your deposit by email.
On the PayPal "Send Money" selection, there is a section for "Message." This is the best way to be sure that I have your puppy preferences. Let me know in this message box, what BREED you are interested in, what SIZE you want, which LITTER, that is, the Dam's name, the gender you prefer, the color, coat, markings, etc. that you prefer. IF YOU WANT THE LITTER PICK MALE OR FEMALE, PLEASE NOTE THAT HERE.
I print out all of these records for the future, and include the information in a folder for your BREED, LITTER, etc.
